Intern with the HJGT

The HJGT has created a unique intern opportunity. The operations internship is a great way to learn tournament operations and be apart of an exciting new junior golf tour. As an operations intern, you will travel to various tournaments across the southeastern United States. You will be apart of all aspects of the tournament from course set up to course breakdown.

 

Spring Internship Dates:

January 5, 2009- May 11, 2009

 

Summer Internship Dates:

May 5, 2009- August 10, 2009

 

Fall Internship Dates:

August 25, 2008- December 9, 2008

 

Job Duties:

-Tournament Setup

-Scoring

-Rules Officiating( Knowledge of rules preferred)

-Scoreboard set up

-Marking of golf course

-Pairings

-Press Releases

-Web site updates

 

Qualifications:

-Golf Knowledge

-Freshman year or higher in accredited University or college

-Willingness to work long hours (average 50 hours a week)

-Able to lift minimum 15 pounds

-Valid driver’s license

-Self motivation and hard working

-Passion for the game of golf

 

Salary:

HJGT interns will receive a monthly stipend plus all travel expenses paid for by the HJGT.

 

As an intern all travel related expenses will be paid for by the HJGT. The following items will be provided by the HJGT.

 

-Hotel Accommodations

-All meals when on site and traveling to and from tournament

-Uniforms

-Laundry

 

All other expenses are the responsibility of the intern. The HJGT is based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Each semester the HJGT will hire two interns. Qualified interns will have the option of paid housing by the HJGT for the semster.
